Ohio Wesleyan University is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and has followed local, state and national health organization guidance in developing this phased re-opening plan. Please review the outline/guidelines below so you know what to expect during your upcoming visit experience.
So that we can offer the safest and most positive visit experience, registration for a campus visit is required. No walk-in visitors can be accommodated at this time. If you arrive and don’t have a scheduled appointment, you will be offered a campus map and given the opportunity for a self-guided tour.
Campus Tours will be offered at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Tour sizes will be limited to 1-3 families. To prevent possible exposure, we recommend limiting the number of people joining you for your visit. In order to follow health department guidelines, all tours will be limited to 10 people.
Campus tours will be combined exterior and interior tours, with groups entering 3-4 buildings.
Campus tours will not enter a residence hall building/space. However, we will show tour groups a video showcasing residence hall spaces.
We recommend you arrive on campus as close to your scheduled tour time as possible. When you arrive, park in one of the Admission Visitor Parking spots in the parking lot between buildings 50 and 53 on this campus map. Call our office at 740-368-3030 to notify us you have arrived. You will then be directed to come to the Admission Office in Slocum Hall. Once there, you can use the restroom and/or wash your hands. Your tour guide will then start the tour.
No in-person Information Sessions will be offered at this time. We will continue to offer Virtual Information Sessions at 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Individual Conversations with a Counselor
Ohio Wesleyan does not require an interview for admission. However, we do offer the opportunity to have a “Conversation with a Counselor” to ask additional questions and get more insight about 188bet体育 after the Campus Tour. These will be individual (one family with one counselor) and will take place in an area that allows proper physical distancing.
Face coverings are required of our employees and our guests, even when outdoors. This is the best way for us to ensure the health and safety of all involved in the visit experience. If you are unable to wear a covering due to a particular health reason, please note that on your registration. Tours with any guest not able to wear a face covering will be exterior tours only.
188bet体育 will have a supply of disposable face covers available for guests who don’t have or forget to bring one.
Tour guides, staff, and guests will be required to use proper physical distancing (remaining 6 feet apart) throughout the visit.
We will offer bottled water to keep you hydrated during your visit. Unfortunately, no other refreshments can be provided at this time.
We are unable to provide on-campus dining options at this time. However, there are a number of restaurants in downtown Delaware that offer both in-person dining as well as take-out. If you need recommendations, just ask the students and/or staff on duty.
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.
Per physical distancing guidelines, we discourage personal contact and will be unable (as hard as this will be!) to offer a handshake.
